Cricket is the most popular sport, with National level cricket matches played at Indira Gandhi Stadium. A new international stadium is being built in a 20 acre site in Mangalagiri which will replace the local stadium as the venue for international and Ranji matches. Badminton, Chess and Volleyball are also popular. The latest fad seems to be Archery.
